Man With Suspended License Charged With Felony DWI After Traffic Stop In Westchester

A traffic stop in Westchester resulted in felony DWI charges for a Fairfield County man with a suspended license, according to police.

New York State Police say they stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison for an infraction on Sunday, June 16 around 2 a.m.

Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Luis Ramirez-Condori, 28, of Norwalk was found to be intoxicated and driving with a suspended license, according to police.

Ramirez-Condori was arrested and transported to SP New Rochelle, where police say he refused to submit to a breath test.

Police say Ramirez-Condori also has a prior DWI conviction within the last 10 years and is required to use an ignition interlock device, which his vehicle did not have.

Ramirez-Condori faces the following charges:

  • Driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony
  • First-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a Class E felony
  • Operating a motor vehicle with no ignition interlock device, a Class A misdemeanor
  • Multiple vehicle and traffic violations

Ramirez-Condori was turned over to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harrison Court on Tuesday, June 25.
